“An industrial conversion where subtlety and sobriety are the keywords” – Arep Architecture

In June 2007, GDG acquired Ilot Panhard, a 15,000 m² formerly disused factory in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, and decided to write a new page in the history of this abandoned building. The building, which had its heyday, is impregnated with a strong personality, and has a rich industrial past.

Goals

GDG is undertaking a consensual restructuring project, taking into account the observations of the inhabitants of the district, collected during a public inquiry carried out in 2006, the needs and administrative constraints of the arrondissement Town Hall.

The goal is to bring to a 19^th century building all the technology available in the 21^st century in order to obtain the best environmental performance and to carry out a global development project (nursery, solidarity integration, green spaces and 22,000 m² Offices..).

History

1^st phase : restructuring of the block by the major rehabilitation of 10,000 m² into offices, delivered in April 2009 and leased to the SNCF for 9 years.

2^nd phase : Building permit obtained in 2010 in order to increase the office area to 24.000m².

The building was sold for future completion in April 2011 to a institutional investor, after leasing 6.000 extra squaremeters to the SNCF.
